TheGrint has tons of powerful stats. Have you looked at your "Grints" stats?

First of all - what is a Grint?

  • Simply put, a "Grint" is a par or better
  • If you got 6 pars and 2 birdies in an 18 hole round, you got 8 Grints
  • Your Grint percentage for the round is 44.4% (8 Grints out of 18 total holes)
  • Grints % is a similar performance metric to GIR but takes putts into consideration

What stats are captured here?

  • Distribution of scores per round (eagles, birdies, pars, bogeys, etc)
  • Total Grints per round + trendline over time
  • Target Grints % based on golfers in your same handicap bracket
  • Grints % by hole par and by hole distance

Where does the name come from? When our founders grew up playing golf together, they played a game where they tried to see how many holes they could play without a Bogey. Anytime they got a score of Par or better, they got a point. Bogey or worse? No points. They called a Par or better a "Grint." And the rest is history...
